About SJAFCA
Communities within the boundaries of the San Joaquin Area Flood
Control Agency are vulnerable to flooding due to the
close proximity to levees and other flood control
structures providing protection from both the Delta and
riverine floods. The San Joaquin Area Flood Control
Agency’s mission is to study, plan and implement flood
protection projects, reducing the risk to people,
structures and our economy. To accomplish this mission,
SJAFCA coordinates and partners with local, State and
Federal agencies. |
